My experience during this semester writing blogs has been very entertaining as it has helped me realise different things that i have done during the year both in and out of my university career. Moreover I’ve noticed that my life is fun, haha! Also it has been very interactive and at the same time creative to think in english to be able to formulate texts and realise that i am capable of writing a sentence or a paragraph without too much problem, as i would have previously thought. I have really enjoyed this course english III and have learnt so much by writing blogs and sharing what i have written with my classmates in the course. The truth is that i laugh a lot about their stories and the ones that i tell. As advice, I think that the next blogs would be fun to write about more nationally and internationally relevant topics, politics, debates, more critical and reflexive things. I like to write stories about my life but even more I like to think about big issues that affect the world, about justice and injustice and how we can work to make the world a more harmonious place.

Travels

Hello everyone! Today I will write about my travels. 

Which in reality are few, haha, but I'll tell you anyway.

First of all, i should say that i have only travelled in Chile and that I know from the high north to the 10th region in the south. No more no less.

The last big journey that i did was last year to San Pedro de Atacama, where I had the marvellous opportunity to walk through the desert, see orange butterflies everywhere, spend time with local native people, get to know some valleys and be able to surround myself with the magic of those such overwhelming and beautiful lands. 

It was really a very beautiful experience. 

But now, thinking of more usual journeys for me and the places that i frequent most, it would be two: Mulchén and Valparaíso.

Both places have for me a very powerful significance. In both there are family traces or legacies, well, my family still live in Mulchén, and Valparaíso was where my great grandfather arrived to live after the Spanish civil war.

Both are equally magical places. Mulchén, a small town punctuated with rivers and woods, located in the 8th region, very tranquil and welcoming, that in the end is like returning to my origins. 

And Valparaíso, wow! Haha, a place of constant change, of eternal bohemia, of unlimited art, of people with an open heart, the hills and the sea, wow!

An experience full of ecstasy and happiness every time I go. 

Both places are always very nourishing. 

That only leaves me to say that I love to travel, I love to know new places and their peoples, involve myself in other cultures, be able to submerge myself in other cosmovisions and always try to be respectful of new customs, because I hate those from Santiago who think they are superior to other places in Chile!

“A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester”

This semester was quite curious for me, because for a start we did not begin with the student demonstrations as tends to happen around the months of april to may, they are just recently beginning a few weeks ago, which has meant that I have been studying continuously for almost 3 months, a strange thing for the University of Chile, haha.

Of all the subjects I have taken this semester, the one which I most enjoyed and has made me grow as an art student, has been the drawing class from Professor Patricia Vargas. In this workshop i have been able to understand the phenomenon of drawing as a language in itself, a sensitive language, full of the details that make up the whole and that make it into a really authentic and human, and therefore very beautiful, action.

In this workshop we draw the human figure every class, with nude models and, then by ourselves we also draw portraits, self-portraits, parts of the human body such as the hands or feet, or really whatever interests us with regards to the human body. 

In reality I have to say that the human as a theme fascinates me in the drawing, equally being able to observe bodies, being able to translate bodies, being able to give expression and dignity to these representations. It seems to me that it is an act of liberty being able to draw someone from life and that this person gives part of their time and a part of themselves to be captured by someone else's eye and pencil which avidly observes them.

A person/expert on your field that you admire.

My favorite woman is Audrey Hepburn, a spectacular theather actress, dancer and person.
Born on May 4, 1929, in Brussels, Belgium, Audrey was a talented performer known for her beauty, elegance and grace. Often imitated, she remains one of Hollywood's greatest style icons.
A native of Brussels, Hepburn spent part of her youth in England at a boarding school there. During much of World War II, she studied at the Arnhem Conservatory in The Netherlands.
When Audrey turned 22 years, she began to participate in so many theater plays on Brodway and films.

She like me because was a great woman and artist, and she always did what she believed was right with her art.

Really I love this woman, was a great person!

My favorite food

I usually think about this, because I love food and I love eat everytime!

So, I don't know like solve this particular and dramatic problem.
Anyway, i will try clarify with a list with love and hate.

Good food:



I love noodles
I love carrot
I love onion
I love apples
I love lettuce
I love fish
I love any soup
I love muffins
I love donuts



Bad food:



I hate chunchule
I hate meet of cow
I hate french fries
I hate tuna
i hate pudding
I hate any type of gut



Well, equally I can't decide about this topic, really is very complicate for me.
I don't know what to do with my life  in this moment hahaha.
But I think that is good share some pictures of food that I love.
Like for example:

Hello, my name is Aranzazu Zalvidea, but I have been called “Zazú” since I was 3. I am going to write about my life story and all the great exploits that I have done in my 21 and a half years of life.
This is my story:
I was born on the 27th July 1994 in the French Clinic in the city of Concepción, in the 8th Region of Chile.
Since I was a child I liked to play with stuffed animal toys. They were the habitants of my country where they took decisions democratically about their future and the things they liked to do. Also i liked to draw women all the time and to sing songs that were on the radio or on the television. I always remember Britney Spears with her red latex suit, in her video for the song “Oops I did it again” and how absorbed i was watching the screen and imitating her dance steps, haha!
Currently my life hasn’t changed much, I don’t play with teddies anymore but i still play in many other ways: like for example dancing and trying new steps, making funny faces and laughing very hard, so very hard to spread it to other people!
What remains the same is that I keep drawing many people, although now yes I draw men...they really are a new and interesting world, haha.
And i keep singing with and without people, loving every vibration that leaves my mouth and the mouths of others.

My favorte picture is this one.
This picture was taken by Camila, a gorgeous friend that i love.
She took this picture when my cat, named "Fauna", was playing with me in the living room of my house.
I think that this picture is very beautiful because it has two strong color that constrast and also it captures the beauty of my beloved pet.

And this picture shows the time when I participated in "Pinochet", a play shown ar Barrio Yungay, the year 2014, by the theater company Teatro Deliria, which works with theater and dance doing street interventions.
This picture is very interesting por differents expresions of my partners, where we was personify to "Arribistas" in 80s from Chile dictatorship.
This experience was very intense because it was first participation in my life in a street intervention like that.
The people was react very well and they feel very excite.

My favorite Music

My favorite styles of music are vals peruano, boleros, cueca chora, tango, jazz manouche, bossa nova, ska, salsa, afro, mapalé, and every type of music that make me sing, dance and vibrate!
I think that music is in Latin America because here is all rhythm and human emotion of beautiful and great cultures, with influences african, indians, spanish and arabic styles.
I usually listen to music according to how i feel.
For example, i listen to Valses peruanos, boleros, tangos and cuecas when i feel more expresive and emotive, and when i want to sing.
I listen to jazz manouche and bossa nova when i want to feel in the air.
And obviously i listen to ska, salsa, afro and mapalé when i want to dance all the night!



Really I love the music because it is something that transmits many things like thoughts, emotions and life, finally.

My favorite technology object is my subwoofer because when i'm in my home, i usually listen to all types of music, so i need my subwoofer all the time.
It is black and small, and has two speakers and two importants cables: one is for the connection with my computer, and other is to be plugged to the power line.
I generally hate technology devices, but in this case, i love this object because i love music and it sounds very loud!
That is very beautiful and relaxing, and that is necessary to live.

My subwoofer was my first technology object that i bought with my own money, that is very important in my life, and in fact i usually get excited when i talk about this moment.

My subwoofer is really fundamental and essential in my life.

Why did I choose this career?

 This in the University

This before University, in La Victoria <3

I chose this career because i'm a very very artistic and hippie person.
Jajaj That is a bad joke, but humorous.
My experience in this career has been very intesive, because I have thought all the time about the things that I made and I will make in the future.
I like Art because it's an intelectual activity that comes from emotionality and reflexive moments of one person or  many people.
And i think Art is a human need.
Here at the University of Chile it is a complicated thing because it has different artistic currents where to choose, so everybody has an opinion about how Art must be and how it must be made.
There are workshops of all types: painting, ceramics, textile, sculpture, goldsmith, photograph, kinematics, engraving, etc.

I'm in the painting workshop in this year and the next year I will probably choose another workshop.
